Q: What is the main purpose of this course content?

A: The main purpose of this course is to provide media spokespeople with the skills, insights and strategies to prepare for and execute significantly better media interviews which will result in superior media coverage.

Q: What skill level is the content geared toward?

A: One of the things I’m most proud of is that this content will be valuable and relevant to both rookie and experienced spokespeople alike. You don’t need to have any media relations experience to benefit from this course. However, if you’ve done lots of interviews before, you will still benefit from the unique viewpoints and insights in this content.

Q: How long does it take to go through all of the course content?

A: While this will vary for each person and will depend on whether you are taking notes, etc., to consume all of the written and video content in one sitting would take approximately three to four hours.

Q: How long do I have access to the course content?

A: Once you have purchased the course, you have lifetime access to this content. There is no deadline to complete the course and the content never expires.

Q: I heard there is a community element with this course. What’s that all about?

A: Yes, in addition to the course content, each participant also gets automatic access to our private network, called Return on Communications Knowledge (ROCK). This is a community of like-minded professionals who are all looking to improve their media interview skills. There is no obligation to take part in the community. But if you want to, you will have the ability to comment on posts, network with other members, share insights and ideas about media relations and participate in events such as office hours, interviews with special guests, prize giveaways and more.

Q: Is the course content static? Once I’ve gone through it, is that it?

A: I am committed to continuing to update and supplement the course content as it makes sense over time. I have already added two new lessons since the launch of the course. Participants are also encouraged to let me know if there are lessons/topics they’d like to see added to the course and I will create it for them.

Q: The price of this course seems low compared to an in-person training session. Is this just a slimmed down version of your in-person/Zoom training?

A: I can confidently state that this content reflects my best and most current thinking about how to conduct great media interviews. So no, this is not a slimmed down version. This is the real deal. This content very closely mirrors the content I cover in a live session. I wanted to make this content available to as wide a group as possible to help as many people as I can, hence the price. I would estimate that the true market value of the content contained in this course is in the $3,500-$4,500 range.

Q: Can I share this content with my colleagues at my office?

A: Each person who accesses this content needs to purchase an individual seat/license to use it. The low price of the course makes this a relatively easy investment per person.

Q: I’m a communications manager/director and I’d like to provide our organization’s spokespeople with access to this content. Can we get a discount for buying multiple licenses?

A: Absolutely. Discounts are available for organizations purchasing five or more seats. Please email me at warren at weeksmedia dot ca to connect and I will create a custom discount code for your organization to use for this purpose.

Q: I need media training as part of our company’s crisis readiness training. Is this content suitable for that purpose?

A: Definitely. The tools and strategies outlined in this course are applicable for all types of media interactions. And you will notice that many of the examples and case studies from the course content are based on real-life crisis situations.

Q: Does this content focus on just interview tactics or does it also include things like how to write great messages as well?

A: So glad you asked. The content covers EVERYTHING from adopting the right media relations mindset to interview preparation, crafting great content, what to do during the interview, tips for various media interview formats (print, radio and TV) and what to do after the interview.

Q: Do I access this content from my computer or from my phone?

A: You have the option to access it both ways. The desktop/laptop platform is elegant and easy-to-use. And if you go to the ‘About’ tab once you’re in the workshop, scroll down to the bottom of the page and you will notice a box you can use to text yourself a link to our app. Download the app and then you will have the exact same content on your smartphone (iOS and Android only at this time).

Q: I have an idea for a topic that’s related to media interviews but it’s not in this course. Would you be willing to create this content?

A: You bet. Let me know what you’d like to see added and I will create it for you.

Q: What if I get inside the course content and decide that it’s not for me. Can I get my money back?

A: If this course content isn’t for you, I will happily refund 100% of your purchase within 30 days.
